I am always inspired by different culture and excited to learn about people's character and identity. In the field of architecture you get to learn these new things and be creative with it.

The great designer, Yewoinhareg is an Architect/Designer

How did you first learn about architecture and when did you decide that built environment profession was an area of interest for you?

My interest in the field of architecture grew during my undergraduate program in Construction Technology & Management in AAU. The professors were always designing & building low cost sustainable units w/c I as a student has been lucky to be part of.

What excites you in the work you do?

Building design represents the distinctive identity of the people and the cultural background. Consciously or not people most often shape their home based on their individuality, character, and culture which I have always found interesting & exciting

I am always inspired by different culture and excited to learn about people's character and identity. In the field of architecture you get to learn these new things and be creative with it.

 

What is your proudest professional accomplishment or achievement?

Good teamwork award during my undergraduate degree on my senior thesis research on the role of sustainable infrastructure in achieving sustainable development.

Featured Project Description:

The purpose of the program is to create a healthy, positive, and inclusive youth empowerment center that encourages and value students to entertain their own diverse and creative ideas. The building is intended to serve as a focal point that reconnects, rebuilds, and informs students and others about bullying. The youth center will consist three zones which will serve three major purposes.
