Bio:
Thierry Paret, FAIA is an American Architect of Haitian descent who was born in the Democratic Republic of Congo. Thierry has comprehensive background in all phases of Architectural practice gained in the past 28 years working for leading practices in the USA, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Ireland. He has both won and been a finalist in International Architectural Design competitions. He currently manages the New York State offices for the IBI Group, the world’s fifth largest Architecture and Engineering firm. The great architect earned his Bachelor of Architecture degree at Pratt Institute in New York, and is a licensed architect in the US States of New York, Nevada, Oklahoma and Utah as well as the Republic of Ireland (Part 3) and the UK (ARB). Thierry was founder and President of the AIA Middle East Chapter, and is currently the President of the AIA International Region which covers all chapters and areas outside the USA. In 2015 he was elected to the American Institute Board as one of its six Directors and was separately elected as First Vice President of the American Institute International Region. He serve on multiple AIA committees including the Knowledge Committee, Finance Committee and am the Chair for the AIA Global Strategic Task Force, and was selected to be a juror for the 2018 AIA National gold medal and firm of the year.

Featured Project Description:
The Genzyme Waterford campus is situated in the IDA industrial estate on a 31acre site and was initially developed in two phases. The first two phases of development saw the start of a multi-phased manufacturing investment for Waterford. The overall operations consist of a solid dose tableting facility, two packaging lines, a multi-dose and multi-scale development facility.
