Stein Carrington
Bio:
The great architect, Stein is the Principal Architect of Stein Carrington Architect, a design consultancy in T&T. He is a Registered Architect and member of the Trinidad and Tobago Institute of Architects (TTIA) and serves as its Treasurer since 2018. He was a board member of the Trinidad Transport Board, an Advisory Board of the Ministry of Works
and Transport (2015-2020). He holds a B.Sc in Surveying, UWI, St. Augustine and a B.A.Arch and M.Arch, University of Technology, Jamaica
How did you first learn about architecture and when did you decide that built environment profession was an area of interest for you?
I always enjoyed designing and drawing, under- standing how things work and its effect on peo- ple. From a teenager it would appear my mind was made up.
What do you do?
As the principal of an emerging practice in the Caribbean, my work centers around residential
& commercial projects, gaining new clients, and curating the adjacent design needs of the clients, from traditional services to graphic design.
What excites you in the work you do?
I’m thrilled by the idea of good design being ac- cessible to more people

Set on an acre and a half of land, this family dwelling sits in the center of the parcel. Designed on the premise of making the living space one room wide, the kitchen, dining and tv room connect the front of the dwelling to the rear.
