Who or what inspires you professionally?
Knowing that I’m not just creating a building, but I’m creating something that is going to have an impact on daily life. As well, having the opportunity to create something that will have a lasting impression on its surrounding environment over time.

Bio:
The Great designer, Nolman davis JR. is from Milwaukee, Wisconsin. I attended the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee where I graduated with a degree in B.S. in Architecture Studies. My experience is in Workplace and Education, but I enjoy a wide range of architecture which keeps me inspired. I love the challenge to create something that will have an impact on surrounding environment that will shape the way people live and interact with the world.
How did you first learn about architecture and when did you decide that built environment profession was an area of interest for you?
I had a passion for art and admired buildings, especially viewing a city skyline from a distance. Over time this passion continued to grow. I found that I was intrigued not only by the design of a building, but process of the design and construction.
What do you do?
I’m involved and work on every phase of a project from the initial design and space planning to creating construction documents and coordination throughout construction administration.
What excites you in the work you do?
The everyday challenge of architecture. Whether it is creating a unique space plan or coming up with a solution that will help achieve the best design for the end user. Everyday is different and allows me to think differently and remain inspired.

What is your proudest professional accomplishment or achievement?
Knowing that I’m doing something that I worked hard to achieve. Being a black man in architecture is very rare. So, I’m proud of myself every day that I’m continuing to learn and strive to become better, not just as a design professional, but person.

EUA was hired by the Milwaukee Bucks to assist in the design of Fiserv Forum, their new arena and the cornerstone of the new Deer District, along with HNTB and lead-designer Populous. The trio of design teams worked with the Bucks to create a world-class sports and entertainment destination that embraces Milwaukee’s architecture and incorporates innovative elements from across the globe. Resulting to the design team providing the ultimate fan-centric arena and a year-round public space.
