SAY IT LOUD - North Carolina Exhibitor

North Carolina Based Designer

Who or what inspires you professionally?

I feel that I find my inspiration through the daily activities of life. As I encounter spaces, furniture, lighting qualities, and other aspects of the environments I interact with, I am constantly evaluating and learning from what does/doesn't work.

NOAH CARBULON

Bio:

The great designer, Noah Carbulona is a husband, father and architect. My professional career started 21yrs ago, while still in school and starting a family. My educational experiences started in South Florida, then took me to Boston and now I am practicing and growing in North Carolina. I furthered my Bachelor's in Architecture education with a Masters in Sustainability. I hope to not only create beautiful and functional spaces, but also ones that are good stewards of the resources they consume.

How did you first learn about architecture and when did you decide that built environment profession was an area of interest for you?

I first learned about structures in 5th grade when I had to design a bridge out of toothpicks. The design created with a fellow student won the class competition. From there constructing and then designing became integral to me.

What do you do?

I am an architect and have been in the profession for about 20 years now.

What excites you in the work you do?

My excitement comes as an extension of the joy I see in my client's faces when they see the vision in a rendering, understand a floor plan and ultimately enjoy the new spaces that I've created for them.

Who or what inspires you professionally?

I feel that I find my inspiration through the daily activities of life. As I encounter spaces, furniture, lighting qualities, and other aspects of the environments I interact with, I am constantly evaluating and learning from what does/doesn't work.

What is your proudest professional accomplishment or achievement?

Probably the design of my parents house. It was the first independent project I took on myself and I know that I will be engaging and experiencing this space through the many events we attend over the coming years. It's a place to make memories!
