Bio:

The great designer, Nichole is an Architect based in the city of Amarillo, TX, which is her home town. She received her Bachelors and Masters from Texas Tech University as well as a certificate of Historic Preservation. She works for Parkhill, specializing in K-12 and Community projects.

How did you first learn about architecture and when did you decide that built environment profession was an area of interest for you?

When I was 14 my uncle was building his home and self preforming some of the work with the help of our family. I was fascinated with the blue prints and how a building could be constructed from a set of drawings. I knew that is what I wanted to do.

What do you do?

As an architect and designer I assist my clients in understanding the spaces they need and want. Then partner with them to create an environment with the users in mind and well as something that functions for their needs.

What excites you in the work you do?

I really enjoy the full progression of a well rounded design. From gathering all the information from the client and surrounding environment and creating an impactful space, to seeing how it is utilized after construction and impacts the community.
