Who or what inspires you professionally?
My dad is the reason I decided to pursue architecture as a career but sadly passed away before I finished school. He instilled in me the value of working hard to make yourself proud before anyone else which I’ve leaned on throughout my career.

How did you first learn about architecture and when did you decide that built environment profession was an area of interest for you?
My dad was a construction superintendent and I grew up tagging along with him to construction sites. His passion in watching a project go from paper to reality was exciting to watch and an inspiration for me to pursue architecture.
What do you do?
I work as a Project Architect at Kirksey Architecture. In my role I am responsible for coordinating with consultants and our project designers, preparing and executing the construction drawings, and facilitating construction administration.
What excites you in the work you do?
Working on the community team I get to experience firsthand the joys a new project brings the community groups we work with. This joy energizes the design team as we work to create projects for our clients that promote and expand their mission.
Who or what inspires you professionally?
My dad is the reason I decided to pursue architecture as a career but sadly passed away before I finished school. He instilled in me the value of working hard to make yourself proud before anyone else which I’ve leaned on throughout my career.
What is your proudest professional accomplishment or achievement?
Obtaining my architecture license is still one of the professional achievements I am proudest of. Becoming licensed has been the launching point to the professional growth I have experienced over my short career.
