How did you first learn about architecture and when did you decide that built environment profession was an area of interest for you?

It was the first time I saw a skyscraper as a child. I was walking with my mom and I looked up and couldn't see the end of the building above. It was a very powerful moment and this is when I wanted to learn more about architecture.

What do you do?

I am the principal of an architecture firm. I am responsible for bringing our client's concepts into reality through images and sketches. These concepts are later developed into construction documents that a contractor will use to build a project.

What excites you in the work you do?

To be able to translate a client's vision into the built environment gives me the opportunity to manifest my creativity. It is very rewarding to see how our client's goals come to fruition and how this impacts so many lives.

Who or what inspires you professionally?

Zaha Hadid inspires me. She was able to use her creativity and combine sculpture with the built environment. She is also a role model since she was the first woman to be awarded the Pritzker Architecture Prize.

What is your proudest professional accomplishment or achievement?

It was my first project after starting my own firm. I think I knew every detail of the project as this was the first time I was going to use my seal and felt a great sense of responsibility and pride.
