The great designer, Malcolm davis. So often there is profound power in the seemingly finite. I gave this question a lot of thought, initially approaching the response more literally, associating pride with the more singular gratification of a completed building, college graduation or gaining architectural registration, all proud achievements in their own right. However in reflecting more honestly on my career and the drivers behind my engagement for current commissions; I am most proud and grateful to have been able to lead  and hopefully inspire diverse teams encouraging many voices to contribute to the design process, setting the stage for the people who will inhabit our buildings to take ownership, benefit from the process and fully embrace their new facilities. With a trained ear and a constant desire to make a difference; maintaining the nimbleness to understand rapidly evolving client needs and promoting the convergence of design thought are factors that propel me to continue pushing forward with practice. Working with clients and communities to successfully develop public, inspiring architecture that fosters collaboration, interdisciplinary learning, leisure, reflection, prayer and a broad spectrum of inclusivity and social interaction are proud accomplishments that can’t be diminished or taken away.
