Who or what inspires you professionally?
Japanese Architect, Kengo Kuma is an early inspiration. I believe he has mastered how to take material, form, and space and create a place that is like no other while complementing its environment. His subtle moves create powerful architecture.

How did you first learn about architecture and when did you decide that built environment profession was an area of interest for you?
I found architecture while studying the ancient Mayans, appreciating their mighty temples and deep cultural influence. Designing with real world applications was a new challenge that was highly rewarding in my artistic endeavors.
What do you do?
I make an idea or inspiration turn it into a habitable space through material, functional form, and artistic design. Every step of the way from the beginning to the end, I hope to influence an idea to a dream space.
What excites you in the work you do?
Through function and design we can create a unique space that the owner, community, and whoever else experiences it through time will enjoy and be inspired. We can mold our community into such a unique experience even with the smallest of designs.

Featured Project Name:
Nordic Trails Center
Featured Project Location:
Casper Mountain, Wyoming
Featured Project Completion Date:
Study (Not Built)
Role in Featured Project:
Planning/Programming, Exterior Design, Illustrative Renders
Featured Project Description:
This community hub is for athletes and nature enthusiasts to utilize on the mountain and enjoy the trails in all seasons. The exterior form is driven by minimizing snow accumulation at the building perimeter; an “A” frame tilted on its side forms a single-slope roof that sheds snow into a ravine while the opposing wall acts to gain solar heat from the great room on winter days. The durable board-formed concrete base with a Corten metal skin blends with the forest and contrasts against snow.
