JENNY CEN

Bio:

The Great Designer Jenny Cen is an Asian American born in Miami, Florida and a graduate of F.I.U. with a Masters Degree in Architecture. Jenny has a passion for design, graphic work, and model making. Currently, she works at Catalyst Design Group Miami.

How did you first learn about architecture and when did you decide that built environment profession was an area of interest for you?

Traveling taught me architecture’s allure. I’m fascinated by how a built environment links architecture & its audience.

What do you do?

In my profession, I oversee the design, production process, and the documents of a project

 

What excites you in the work you do?

Embracing diverse client backgrounds excites me and learning from their viewpoints.

What is your proudest professional accomplishment or achievement?

My proudest professional achievement is earning a master’s degree in architecture at Florida International University.

Featured Project Description:

Vice Hub investigates the adaptation against sea level rise through an expanded Metrorail system by 2100. Located along the Miami Metrorail, the Miami River, and the expressway, our project focused on how transportation in Miami can be transformed to be more efficient and expand access to public transportation while using cost-efficient sustainable strategies such as a vertical farming tunnel. The project contains spaces such as a Metrorail station, exhibition space, and residential apartments.
