Who or what inspires you professionally?
Ancient Ruins inspire me through their age and stability as much as my young kids and their thoughts about the world. Starchitects like Zaha are as inspirational as my dear husband who has an opinion or two on architecture! You just have to hearken!
DEEPTI RAVINDRA DESHPANDE
Bio:
Architecture has always been Deepti's first love! An emerging professional, artist and a creative enthusiast, Deepti passionately pursues the projects that she handles. Her love for transforming and creating minimalistic, fluid and innovative designs, brings an energy to the process. She applies architectural knowledge to facilitate reasonable living spaces and believes that if engineered inventively, the integration of the old and new can create spectacular cityscapes.
How did you first learn about architecture and when did you decide that built environment profession was an area of interest for you?
My Grandfather was a Civil Engineer in the British Army and always spoke about the built environment. As a little girl I was always so impressed by architecture. Hard to believe, but I kicked my medical admissions for being an Architect someday Lol!
What do you do?
My current role with APA is Project Manager. I am heavily involved in the architectural design of most of the project that we work on may it be commercial, mixed-use, site master planning, Historic preservation or Hospitality projects.
What excites you in the work you do? Who or what inspires you professionally?
Everything! You can play God on everyday basis. You are the creator who has the ability to make something so beautiful and functional, yet almost everlasting for a population of your time.
Who or what inspires you professionally? What is your proudest professional accomplishment or achievement?
Ancient Ruins inspire me through their age and stability as much as my young kids and their thoughts about the world. Starchitects like Zaha are as inspirational as my dear husband who has an opinion or two on architecture! You just have to hearken!
What is your proudest professional accomplishment or achievement?
Been a few so far, but I'm waiting for the proudest one yet. I'm working hard towards it, won't rest till then :)
