SAY IT LOUD - Pennsylvania Exhibitor

Pennsylvania Based Designer

Who or what inspires you professionally?

I am inspired simply knowing that there is still so much to learn. Architecture is an ever-evolving profession. In order to keep up one has to put in the work. I strive to better myself professionally by learning from others and from past mistakes.

DARIO MCPHEE

How did you first learn about architecture and when did you decide that built environment profession was an area of interest for you?
I first took interest in high school. It wasn’t until my final year that I had to decide my college major. I blindly chose Architecture. Once in college, I learned more about the profession and it has been my passion ever since.

What do you do?
As a project architect I am responsible for managing projects from start to finish. This includes, but is not limited to design, planning, coordination and construction administration.

What excites you in the work you do?
Collaboration with colleagues excites me. Working in a bubble is quite possibly the worst thing an architect can do. I love getting input from any and every one willing to provide it.

Who or what inspires you professionally?
I am inspired simply knowing that there is still so much to learn. Architecture is an ever-evolving profession. In order to keep up one has to put in the work. I strive to better myself professionally by learning from others and from past mistakes.

What is your proudest professional accomplishment or achievement?
I am most proud of my perseverance in the profession. My path wasn’t the easiest, but it surely makes for a more interesting dinner table story.
