Who or what inspires you professionally?
My wife and my family have always supported me, let- ting them know I won’t let them down keeps me on track. But also working with well-trained professionals encourages me to become a better architect.
Carlos Barriga Ramírez
Bio:
The Great designer, Carlos ramirez is a mexican architect graduated from Universidad de Sonora in 2013, worked at different firms before doing self-practice for two years, during which were developed various residential and commercial projects as well as coordinating and supervising them in construction phase. Middle of 2016 started working in the USA at Selberg and Associates and in 2018 moved to Phoenix and started working at MERGE AG on various office, commercial, residential and retail projects.
How did you first learn about architecture and when did you decide that built environment profession was an area of interest for you?
In a class we had in school, Architecture catch my attention over the rest. During college, I’ve always had an interest for the environment and sustainability, and being able to design a small impact building is always challenging.
What do you do?
Now I am preparing for my ARE, I want to be a regis- tered architect. I help as much as I can with the proj- ects we have in the office. I try to gain more knowl- edge to help me develop as a better professional.
What excites you in the work you do?
Being able to put on the table an idea that helps solve project related problems. Learn new things, like soft- ware or professional and practical knowledge.

What is your proudest professional accomplishment or achievement?
To come from a different country and realizing that you’re able to develop and grow both professionally and personally is probably one of the greatest things I can be proud of.

Featured Project Description:
As part of a $72,000,000 dollar investment in Puerto Peñasco Sonora Mexico, Salvago has initiated this 31-condominium development for sale project with views to Sea of Cortes and artificial lagoon at Islas del Mar and it is part of the new development surrounding the new 18-hole Golf Club designed by Jack Nicklaus. This new project know as Eagle Villas provides 1.300 GSF interior living space, two master bedrooms each with its own bathroom and terrace views, kitchen, dining and living room area.
