ARNULFO RODRIGUEZ

Lionakis

SAY IT LOUD - CALIFORNIA Exhibitor
California Based Designer

Who or what inspires you professionally?

Definitely the people I work with. The fact they get up in the morning and come in ready to work, putting their best foot forward is what inspires me. It motivates me to know that I am a part of something bigger than myself.

ARNULFO RODRIGUEZ

Bio:

As a Job Captain at Lionakis, Arnulfo “Arnie” Rodriguez brings over six years of experience working on civic facilities, commercial tenant improvements, and residential remodels. With a knack for visual communication using Business Information Modeling (BIM), he uses modeling software to convey ideas and concepts to his clients effectively throughout the design of their project.

How did you first learn about architecture and when did you decide that built environment profession was an area of interest for you?

I first learned about architecture through the movies and TV, it seemed like such a glamourous and noble profession. I have a short attention span and an active mind. I enjoy that architecture is constantly challenging me and keeping me on my toes.

What do you do?

I am a job captain, in the Civic studio at Lionakis. I have the privilege of working on a mix of typologies such as corrections facilities, courthouses, and buildings serving the public.

What excites you in the work you do?

It’s the process of taking a project from beginning to end, and going through the grind of the entire process. Ultimately, the most exciting part is just simply producing something that others can experience.

Who or what inspires you professionally?

Definitely the people I work with. The fact they get up in the morning and come in ready to work, putting their best foot forward is what inspires me. It motivates me to know that I am a part of something bigger than myself.

What is your proudest professional accomplishment or achievement?

By far passing my Architecture Registration Exams (AREs) has been the most difficult and satisfying thing I have accomplished in life. I look forward to taking the California Supplemental Exam (CSE) and becoming a licensed Architect.
