How did you first learn about architecture and when did you decide that built environment profession was an area of interest for you?
At 15, I had an opportunity to travel to Europe. The moment I stepped into Sainte-Chapelle in Paris, I was overwhelmed with awe and wonder. I chose to become an architect, dedicated to creating spaces that would inspire and cultivate awe in others.
What do you do?
I am a managing principal of House & Robertson Architects, San Francisco branch. HRA is dedicated exclusively to providing executive architect services. You could say that we are the ringleader in all aspects of the design and construction process.
What excites you in the work you do?
A day never goes by when I am not learning or discovering new ways to solve a problem. Due to the nature of the work I do, I rarely work on the same building typology from one project to the next.
